INCLINE HIGH SCHOOL HIGHLANDER'S BATTALION |
Incline High School is located on the north shore of Lake Tahoe at an elevation of 6,500 feet and 35 miles west of Reno Nevada. While the majority of students are from families who have a higher expectation for their children's education, the student body is assuming more diversity, and growing in enrollment percentages.
Our program has cadets who are leaders in all facets of our school activities. They continue to increase their commitment to volunteer and achieve community service hours. Incline High School won the Community Service Excellence Award for the Washoe County School District two years ago. School administrators, counselors and teachers give maximum support to the High School Army ROTC program, which plays a significant role in students attaining leadership and study skills. Another great honor our school has achieved, and upheld for 22 consecutive years, is the gold star Honor Unit with Distinction.
Incline Village is very supportive of our Annual Formal Inspection, or AFI, as evidenced by many civic leaders who participate each year. Each year at least one of our former cadets has been accepted to a U.S. service academy or has been offered a four year ROTC Scholarship.
